Wilderness is a seaside town on The Garden Route of the Southern Cape, South Africa.
It is situated 16km east from the city of George, along the N2 on the Eastern Side of the Kaaimans River Pass. It is known for its long white sand beach and lagoons. The town caters mostly to holiday-makers and is situated directly on the Touw River Lagoon.
The town experiences an extremely mild climate, typical of The Garden Route and has little temperature variation, seldom dropping below 10 °C and above 28 °C, with year-round rainfall. The flora type is Afromontane gallery forest.
At Belle Forêt Guest Farm and Functions Venue we strive to offer our guests the best luxury accommodation, paired with outstanding service, while enjoying the breath taking surroundings. We have created an environment where guests can escape their busy schedules and recuperate at a leisurely pace.
Belle Forêt Guest Farm offers three types of accommodation: The Guest House, Bed & Breakfast and The Cottages – Each offering a unique experience. There are stairs leading to most rooms and communal areas and unfortunately we do not have disabled access at this time.
We are committed to preserving the natural vegetation and habitat, thereby minimising our carbon footprint. Fresh produce is grown organically on the property and maintained by our wonderful staff.
As Belle Forêt is a farm, there are resident dogs and other animals on the property and therefore regrettably, no pets are allowed.
